Steve Williams,
Vice President, Engineering
Steve Williams grew up next door to Woodex, as a small child causing the company
untold aggravation. When, in his adolescent years, Steve began experimenting
with incendiaries and explosives, the company offerred him a job, in
hopes of preventing its premature destruction.
Now a stockholder, Steve has been employed by Woodex longer than anyone in the
company. Steve and his wife Lisa are avid outdoorsmen and flyers. They own a
Steen Skybolt and a Cessna 185 on floats, as well as a part interest in a J3
Cub, and they frequently camp on deserted lakes and ponds in northern
Maine, along with their black Lab, Belle.
Steve is an F.A.A.-certified C.F.I.I., and lectures on floatplane technique
and safety. He is also a member of the board of director of the Boothbay Railway Village museum, and often sails as Engineer on the museum schooner F/V Sherman Zwicker.
