Merle Wertner,
Production Machinist
Merle operates manual and CNC milling machines and lathes, making both MECO seals
and shop fixtures and tooling. He has extensive experience in prototyping and
production machining, and is a skilled bicycle and Volkswagen mechanic and a creditable motorcycle racer.
Merle's name isn't really Merle, or Wertner, either, for that matter. The picture
isn't actually of Merle, either - that's someone else. We had to use a fake
picture and a dreamed-up name for Merle because, well, he's painfully shy and he doesn't
want any publicity. We think he might have some outstanding warrants out there somewhere.
Merle and his wife, Arlene (nope: not her real name, either.) are
fond of contradancing, and are the proud parents of a newborn named Iphigenia. (You guessed it: yet another fake)
