Kay Mann,
Marketing Manager
Kay Mann has been the Marketing Manager and Purchaser at Woodex since 1998.
She lives in Brunswick, Maine in a household which includes two cats and some
mad flower gardens. In her spare time, she dances whenever possible. Her
favored styles are Modern Dance, Authentic Movement, Ecstatic Dance, Contact
Improvisation and Contra Dance. Kay can occasionally be spotted in performances
of dance and/or mime. She also enjoys yoga, cross-country skiing, bicycling and
kayaking. She is learning to play the mandolin, V-E-R-Y- S-L-O-W-L-Y.
Kay speaks French and German fluently (and Spanish apologetically) and enjoys
any opportunity to practice speaking in these languages. She is a member of a
German club in Brunswick, as well as of the Brunswick Center for Jungian Studies.
She is a proponent of renewable energy development and is a volunteer member of
the Board of Directors of the Hydrogen Energy Center, a non-profit in Portland,
Maine. In this capacity, she chaired the publicity team for the Chewonki
Renewable Hydrogen Project at the
Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset, Maine. For more information check out the Hydrogen Energy Center.
Kay enjoys the challenge of working with a team of brilliant, left-brained
engineering-types, constantly causing her to explore alien territory.
