Glenn Irish, President Glenn Irish is the only Genuine Native Mainer among Woodex's management, a fact he is careful to underline at every opportunity. Glenn graduated from Portland's Deering High School and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He came to Woodex in May of 1981 and assumed responsibility for manufacturing operations.
Glenn supervises the factory and administrative operations, serves as Safety Czar, personally attends to grounds and building maintenance, builds shipping crates, and is capable of pinch-hitting on virtually any production function. He is the only person to whom old Virgil, down in The Pit, will speak, a distinction the rest of us are often thankful for. Glenn serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maine Merchants Association Workers' Compensation Trust.
A former record wholesaler, Glenn has a large collection of rare LPs and CDs, and is an authority on pop music trivia. He enjoys boating, rose gardening, tree surgery, and generally puttering about on his wooded estate, located in the chic Robinhood section of Georgetown, Maine.
